MÖTLEY CRÜE, DEEP PURPLE, VELVET REVOLVER, DEF LEPPARD Perform At LIVE 8: Photos Available

DEEP PURPLE, MÖTLEY CRÜE, VELVET REVOLVER and DEF LEPPARD were among the performers at the nine Live 8 concerts held simultaneously around the world to pressure leaders of the wealthy G8 nations to increase aid to Africa when they meet in Scotland this week. Check out pictures:

As previously reported, EMI has inked a deal to release the the worldwide Live 8 concerts on DVD in November. The company will tailor the content of the releases to each market.

The concerts were held ahead of the G8 summit in Scotland on July 6 where eight world leaders will be presented with a workable plan to double aid, drop debt and make trade laws fair to stop 30,000 children dying needlessly of extreme poverty every single day.
